If you don't mind the expense, the
KitchenAid Waffle Maker is probably the best you can buy. This powerful kitchen appliance can produce two very large
Belgian Waffle Makers in under four minutes.
It is nicely designed, very well built, easy to clean, and easy to use. Not much to dislike about this waffle
maker!
If you want professional, restaurant quality waffles at home, this is the machine for you.
Fast. This waffle maker can make 2 very large
Belgian waffles in less than four minutes.
Good life span. While many waffle makers I read up on have at least some consumers
complaining about them having a short life span and breaking within a year of use, I didn't see any reviews about
the Kitchenaid Waffle Maker breaking or not working correctly. This is pretty rare for a product but then again,
Kitchenaid has long had a reputation for making quality kitchen appliances that are both well designed and
durable.
Easy to use. It would be really hard to produce a bad waffle with this waffle maker. It
has a consistent temperature and it's non stick surface is truly non stick and doesn't require spray or cooking oil
like other waffle makers do. A drip channel catches batter spills.
You can see how easy it is to use in this youtube video below:
Well Made. As you probably saw in the video, the Kitchenaid waffle maker is very well
made. I saw one customer reviewer describe it as a tank.
Countdown timer. A digital timer counts down in minutes and seconds so you don't overbake
your waffles. It makes it easy to get the results you want every time.
Kitchenaid Waffle Maker
Cons
Expensive. It is one of the most expensive waffle makers you can buy. If you can afford it
though, it is one of the best as well. It does make two very large waffles at a time. Waffles you would like pay
$10 a piece for at a restaurant so if you eat out a lot, you could rather quickly recoop the costs of this
appliance. Another thing to consider is that many waffle makers have a short life span....maybe 1-3 years but this
one is so well made that it will likely last a life time.
Large and Bulky. While some waffle makers fold or store upright, this one is large and
bulky and there is no way around the fact that it will take up a lot of space whether it's on your counters or
in your pantry or cabinets. Take this into account before purchasing it. If you are dealing with
limited space in your kitchen, this might not be the best waffle maker for you.
With all these pros and cons weighed, the Kitchenaid Waffle Maker really is a great, well made appliance.
With such a high price tag, you would expect to see at least a few people unhappy with it's performance or
abilities after paying so much but I could not find any of that. The reviews I read on this waffle maker all
appeared to come from consumers who were quite satisfied with their purchase. That's pretty rare these
days!
